Food therapy
Last Wednesday, with much anticipation, I went to pick up my wedding invitations after work only to find out that the product doesn’t match the sample, the colors were wrong, the ink turned out too pale, and the envelopes came in in wrong color too. The invitation itself looked by far too gloomy because of the wrong color and paper material.
I was livid!!!!
It clearly needed to be re-done, but then it will take even more time when my invitations were supposed to have gone out like… two weeks ago?
I was soooooooooo upset that I almost cancelled my dinner plan with Christine.
Well, I am glad I didn’t, because I had a blast! It was a great food therapy session — something I needed!
Christine and I met last year through the M!ss Taiwan USA pageant. She was one of the contestants, and I, being a former M!ss Taiwan USA, willingly helped out with training sessions and MC the pageant night. We actually didn’t interact a whole lot at that time, because we were each busy doing our own jobs. But, the pageant helped all ladies to stay in touch one way or another, so we became better friends. Oh, she won the title by the way.
That evening, she drove all the way from Westwood to Rowland Hts for sushi with me. How could I cancel on her? I couldn’t!!!
She’s such a sweetheart and I felt completely at ease with her. We talked so much that it took us … over two hours to finish a few pieces of sushi.
Travel, school, work, wedding plans, relationships, food, fashion, modeling, friends, our mutual friends, community events, parents, other friends’ weddings, skiing and snowboarding, church, art, music, movies, adventures ….
Wow, amazing how we can talk! We took loads of goofy pictures too! The dinner totally lifted my mood. Had I know sooner that Christine is so fun to hang out with, I would have hung out with her much more frequently, much earlier on!
After the dinner, I came up with a brilliant, fast way to improve my wedding invitation with no additional cost.
Food therapy with a girl friend was good!
