End of February Wedding Planning Update
Once again I write the wedding planning update post for a month that had already passed. This shows how busy I have been.
For February, our major accomplishment was to send out the invitations. It may sound easy, but it took us a long way to get here. First of all, the vendor we used for the invitation was late on delivering a mock up. Secondly, the product was delayed in shipment. Third, when I actually got the invitations, they turned out all wrong with unexpected ink color, wrong envelope color, and the paper material for the invitation itself wasn’t the same as the sample. It was very frustrating!!!
So, I had to make some creative interventions to solve the problem, and luckily, it worked! It was a significant improvement and I love the end product! But, by then we were already two weeks late in sending them out.
Oh well, what can I do? Thank God we announced our wedding date to most of our guests very early on, so most of them do have that date marked on their calendars already.
Our invitation consists of the invitation itself, a reception card, a response card, a response envelope, a map, a wallet-size photo of us, and a little info card for our wedding registry. I matched it up with customized photo mailing labels, and love stamps from the post office. All pieces were in our wedding color — lavender, periwinkle, and silver. Every color coordination was right, and everyone who saw it commented that it’s very elegant. Yay! I am so proud of myself!
We spent the month of February sending out invitations group by group, and now, I am happy to report that I only have a few more to send out.
Everyday now, I get little lavender response cards in the mail from our dear friends all over the place, telling us that yes, they will honor us on our wedding day with their presence. I feel very blessed. I can’t be more contented with life now.
Our wedding is only five weeks and three days away.

it’s finally coming up and getting closer and closer to ur big day. last nite when i was laying on the bed and wondering when exactly it is and afraid that i might have missed it……
(but i can’t attend with such a great distance wor~….what exactly am i worrying about, ha!)
